Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj was the 
second ruler of the Maratha kingdom. He 
was the eldest son of Chhatrapati Shivaji 
Maharaj, the founder of the Maratha Empire and his first wife Saibai. He was successor of the realm after his father's death, and ruled it for nine years. At the age of just 32, who was assassinated by the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb. It is said that he had a deep understanding of politics at a very young age.Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj was born on 14 May1657 at Purandar Fort. It is about 50 kilometers from Pune. He was the son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's first and beloved wife Saibai. He was just two years old when his mother died, due to which his grandmother Jijabai raised him. In 13 years old he learned 13 languages. He 
wrote many Sastra. He knows more about 
horses rading, armory, archery, bodybuilding. He won first battle of Ramnagar at age of 16. When Sambhaji was nine years old Aurangzeb sent Shivaji Maharaj andSambhaji into jail, And then fled from Agra by dodging Aurangzeb. He was the one an only king won 120 battles in 9 years. He was died on 11th March 1689. Every year on 14th May people celebrate  Sambhaji Maharaj Jayanti as a tribute to his contributions to the Maratha Kingdom, and across Maharashtra and other parts of the country. Sambhaji’s journey to the throne was also filled with an array of challenges.
