The Hindu worship the different power of God. Durga Puja is the worship of Shakti. It is a very important festival. It is observed in all part of India. Schools, Colleges and Offices are closed during this festival. It is said that When Ram was going to Lanka to fight against Ravan, The Demon king of this place , he worshipped the the Goddess Durga in the way. 


He did worship in the month of Ashwin, and so even today the festival is held in Aswin. The Puja lasts for ten days.The first day is called the Kalasthapan day and last is Vijayadasmi. Brahmans recite holy Mantras. Musicians sing in praise of goddess Durga. People go to worship the goddess on important days. Woman go there in a large number. On the last day people carry the idols to river where her immersion take place. 



It is important festival. It is the worship of Shakti. People observed it with a great scanctity. They meet one another. They forget their enmities and become friends. Children move about in joy. All men women and children put on new clothes. The sweet vendors sell their sweets and earn money. The festival should be observed with due sanctity.

Speech and Essay Teachers day has been celebrated annually on 5th September since 1962 as the birthday of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.This day is celebrated to thank our teachers for their guidance.
